Random Act of Kindness…

I think sunrise is my favourite time of day and I am very fortunate to see 4 or 5 a week. I am not sure if it’s because it seems to beckon a new start, new possibilities. I love the quietness of dawn and the stirring of the creatures as they begin to welcome the new day in. I love the sky paintings when clouds are about – it’s all so refreshing for me and I am never sorry I was up to see it even when I haven’t slept well.

Today I missed the sunrise but I did have a bright spot in my day. I opened my door to leave for work and was greeted by a bunch of flowers and an encouraging card. The card was unsigned but I felt cared for and loved. It’s amazing what such an act of kindness does for you. I went on my way with a smile and a song. I’d love to tell you the day was a good one after that, but, sadly it was pretty crappy. But at least I came home to these beautiful flowers and knew I had been thought of.

ROAK1  ROAK2

So tomorrow, I will get to see the sun rise again, and good day or bad, I will still know I am cared for. My anonymous friend has touched my heart with this random act of kindness and I am thankful.
