Happy New Year

Happy New Year

Some years you are happy to see the back of and 2014 has been that kind of a year for me!

No, I am not going to spout off about New Year’s resolutions – don’t believe in them to be honest. If there are things we need to change, improve, stop then why wait until the first of the year! For instance, 10 months ago I decided to take my health seriously! I adopted a new eating plan and lost 19kg and though it is still a work-in-progress, it would not have made sense to wait for the new year!

A few months ago I went to see a professional about another area of my health! The lady I was referred to was perfect for my case. If I had waited for the new year, that meeting would never have happened. But now I am on the way to recovery.

Why put off mending fences, forgiving, getting healthy, and the myriad of other things we put off? Why put so much pressure into that one day of the year? We’re setting ourselves up to fail. So let’s not wait to do what matters whenever the need arises. Live each day to the full. Life is uncertain so never pass up the chance to let those you care about know how you feel, be adventurous and don’t stop learning.

So Happy New Year and may 2015 be a great year for you.
